Now that we have started using the system we have noticed that the venue displays in the shopping basket. We were under the impression that delegates would not know the venue until after booking they should not be able to see the venue in the shopping basket.
For English/Science hub events in the autumn where we use schools, we must not provide the venue up front. Teachers see where the venue is, decide not to book and then just turn up. This causes problems with meeting management (some schools have smaller capacity than others) and insufficient number of delegate packs being produced/provided.
In addition with the venue showing in the basket for chargeable events; delegates again decide not to book thinking that they can just turn up without paying, which could lead to lack of revenue and again a difficulty in managing expected numbers
Can the 'venue' be removed from the basket as a matter of urgency please. All venues used have a 'town' which shows on our website, they must not get the venue until they have completed their booking.
