Generate iCal files that correctly reflect the dates and times of multi-session courses

At the moment, when a course is multi-session (e.g. two Monday afternoons a week apart) the iCal that is generated spans the whole period - from the start timeof the first session to the finish time of the last. This is not useful.

Please format the iCal so that it contains the individual sessions, and is more helpful when added to calendars.

It really doesn't make sense to block out entire weeks/months for multi-session courses. It renders iCal completely unusable in these situations. It's a shame about that this status has now been set to "Will not implement".

Thanks Sami, i agree with your comments. Unfortunately the way in which icals are created is out of our control - each ical file is essentially one diary entry with one start and end time. The only way this could be achieved is by 1) not sending an ical for course dates which span multiple day and weeks 2) creating a separate ical for each session - you would need a separate email for each session sent out containing the ical link.

... or you could provide multiple ical links within one email?

Thanks David, your link was very useful. There's a lot of potential complications with this one but we'll continue to gather customer interest on this.
