Finding course dates in Course search portal

At the moment the only way of seeing course dates in the course search portal is to use the “Action” menu. We are far from convinced that this is obvious to users – in fact we have observed people clicking around the screen trying to find the dates. The action menu should be restyled (currently it looks like a play button – where you might expect an e-learning tutorial to actually start running).  We would prefer to see text here eg. “dates and booking”  or a more obvious graphic.

Thanks Dorothy, do you have any suggestions for a graphic that would be more obvious ?

I think the play button graphic works for the e-learning courses, but for the classes I think the text: 'Dates and booking' would work better.  I guess if you needed a graphic instead of text, a simple calendar icon might be more obvious, but I personally think  'Dates and booking' would be clearer.

Having recently launched the portal 'view' to our users we are experiencing the same issue. When a user clicks on the title for the course they expect to see the dates and venues available, not the course outline - so making the 'action' button into a more obvious 'dates and book' area would help.
