Express an interest for a course date

It would be useful if you could set up a course with a date but not allow people to fomally book on the course but add themselves to an "express an interest/gathering interest" in this course date and once it reaches the mininum number people are then notified/booked onto the course.  There are workarounds to this e..g. just setting the number to 0 so that people add themselves to a waiitng list but this is not quite the same and does not convey to the potential delegate what the status of the course is.  For instance, if they saw we were gathering interest it many encourage them to tell colleagues to sign up.

Thanks Kathryn, is it interest in a specific date that matters most or just interest in a course topic ?

    Both

It would be good to be able to schedule a date and see how much interest there is before confirming to go ahead and to be able to communicate this to delegates e.g they get an email to say thank you for your interest in this course - we will contact you if we have enough candidates to run the session

It would also be good for people to be able to see a course and course dates, but to express an interest if the dates don't suit.  I know that there is the enquiry tile and it can be done like this already, but this is seperate from the course template and delegates may not realise that they can do this so it would be good if there was a link/sign posting  from the template/course dates in some way.

This would really help us too. We run courses that we call "On Demand" and at the moment we just set them up as normal course dates and then need to explain to clients individually that we're still only gathering interest and need to reach a minimum number of delegates before being able to run the course.

This is a great idea. We also have courses on demand, so this would be good to track interest before we set a date for special courses.

    Big fan of this idea.

A feature allowing us to offer a potential course and allowing expressions of interest would be extremely useful for us. I can see that potentially having an associated date might be also be of use.

This would be fantastic and save time!  It would be a great platform to generate course interest without being intrusive.
