Data Grids - automating order of data

On tissue with the data grids is the course dates appear in the order oldest date first. So I get big lists of data going back to 2010 that need sorting.

A filter solves the problem but even if it is saved it needs applying every time you view the data grid.Which could be 100 times a day

For us this adding a filter every single time you visit the data grid slows us down - the old system allowed you to set a filter that was applied unless you changed it. I understand you want to show the whole data set but in practice I only want to see part of it  for 95% of my usage. Is it possible to have default filters applied to the data - and they can be removed as required ?

or

Can the course dates be shown or set to show by default as most recent at the top. - Not as good but saves some clicks

    Hi Harvey,

    Great feedback - thanks !

This just missed the cut for the first release. We're currently working on making grids display with the most recent at the top. The ability for grids to remember the last used filter will in Jan.

There should be an option to sort each column within a data grid.
